The Whiting Spey Hackle Rooster Cape in Silver is a premium quality fly-tying feather designed specifically for creating Spey and Dee style flies. These flies require unique feathers that produce the characteristic swept-back profiles and fluid motion in fast-moving waters. Originally, "Spey Cock" feathers sourced from special roosters in Scotland's Spey River Valley were ideal, but the original stock has become scarce over time.

To replicate the superior qualities of the original Spey Cock and heron feathers, Whiting developed a "genetic" Spey Hackle through selective breeding over five years. These feathers feature long, substantial barbs without webbing, excellent strength, density, and come in multiple colors and patterns to inspire creativity among fly tiers. Each cape measures approximately 25 cm in length with feathers between 5-12 cm, suitable for use as body hackle or tail material.

Claims for faults and defects must be reported to Nordic Anglers within a reasonable time after the fault or defect was discovered or ought to have been discovered.
