fly fishing in put and take

Fly fishing in the put and take lake can be exciting and full of action.

The fish can be numerous, strong and large, everything you need to have a good fishing day.

They also willingly pounce on even the smallest flies.

Fly fishing in put and take can offer everything from small nymphs to large wolly bugger flies .

We want to give you the best start on your journey, with a hopefully lifelong interest - if you are already starting, there will definitely be a few tips you can use.

We try to dress you well for the great experiences that await you out on the Put and Take lake.

How to get started with fly fishing in the put and take lake

To get started, you need to use a fly set . A set in class 5 or 6 is optimal for put and take fishing.

It is also gear that you can easily use in the river or on the coast.

To get the best start, we recommend leaving your spinning gear at home - it's too easy to fall back on what you know.

Make sure to have put and take flies in different sizes, as this is often what makes the difference on the water.

Daniel's fly box does not consist of 15 different patterns, but rather many of the same flies, just in different sizes.

Leave the spinning gear at home if you want to get started with fly fishing in the put and take lake.

Watch Daniel go over the basics of fly fishing put and take on the lake.

In this video, Daniel goes over his gear, flies, and various fishing techniques.

Give it a look.

How do you catch a rainbow trout?

You can most easily catch a rainbow trout with very small flies.

They happily pounce on even the smallest flies in the box, and it is these smaller baits that we have the best experience with.

As seen in this video , the small fly albi catches lots of fish.

The colors we like the most are combinations of white, yellow, orange, black and pink. Combining a "bang" color with either white or black means that you can quickly have many effective patterns for the put and take lake.

We have everything you need to get started with fly fishing in the put and take lake.

Fly fishing becomes much more fun when you fish with the right equipment.

That's why we have collected all the best fly fishing gear here at Nordic Anglers.

Good flies for the put and take lake

These flies are good in put and take:

There are of course many other flies that are also good in put and take, but with the above patterns in the box, you are well on your way.

Small flies are often better than big flies. Having flies in different shades and sizes is the most important thing in the put and take lake. If you have a few nymphs and marabou flies in different colors, you are good to go.

Fly and bombarda in the put and take lake

It's no secret that slow fishing is often good in the put and take lake.

Fly and bombarda are therefore a fantastic combo to activate the sluggish fish.

The small flies for bombarda are lively and easy to consume in a variety of ways, making them an excellent bait for rainbow trout.

Bombarda and fly fishing in put and take lakes can give your fishing an extra dimension, as you can tie your own flies and thus customize your bait exactly as you want.

Of course, we have everything within fly tying .

Flies are also good for escaped rainbow trout

When rainbow trout escape from ocean farms, which they unfortunately do from time to time, small flies are an effective way to catch them.

The escaped fish are used to small food items, if you can call them pellets, and they respond well to small coastal flies in bright colors.

Golden bass and small shrimp flies are obvious choices, as these flies are also great for fishing for sea trout.

Tips for goldfish

The golden trout have a way of revealing themselves. They can always be seen in the put and take lake when they cruise around.

Make sure you place the fly in the goldfish's path so it will swim towards your fly.

If that doesn't work, you can try to get the fly to surprise the trout by "catching up" with the fish and coming past it from behind.

The surprise sometimes forces the goldfish to react quickly, and therefore bites the fly.
