Nordic Anglers started because of Daniel's passion for fly tying and fly fishing.

Tips and tricks for fly tying

There are different ways to practice fly tying – and it's almost a hobby in itself. The good thing about fly tying is that you decide the difficulty level. However, there are some general tips and tricks that you can take with you during the process of tying flies:

• Always ensure the flies are durable. The flies should be able to withstand some rough treatment in the water. Therefore, it is naturally important that you tie your flies relatively tight so that they don't suddenly come undone. Remember, however, that there should still be some life and movement in the flies, so it's about finding the right balance. In our assortment, you can find varnish and glue that will make your flies extra durable.
• Start by tying large flies. If you are a beginner in fly fishing, it's a good idea to start by tying some of the relatively large flies. Once you get the hang of it, it will feel like a breeze. Have a good amount of patience, and your collection of self-tied flies will quickly grow large.
• Browse our YouTube channel. It can be difficult to read about how to tie flies. Therefore, browse our YouTube channel, which is full of detailed step-by-step videos where we guide you well.
