Hold the fly (The Axe)
Throughout all three videos, Daniel and Troels have fished with exactly what you have trusted the most and here is a review of all the gear they have used in these films.
Starting with their setup, both have used the Searun salinity rods in primarily class 4-6 for the light rods in class 4 and five. Daniel swears by very light wheels and he is very happy with his Lamson Purist in -5+ , which is incredibly light and beautiful. However, Daniel is also very happy with his Scott sector in class 6.
In relation to the lines, they fished with Searun heads in F/S1.5 and F/S3 with photonic 9 foot leader ending in 0.33 and a photonic 0.28 tip
Both also fished with the Searun Sonic shooting line which has no stretch and therefore hooks fantastically well even far out in the cast. It is both their favorite shooting line and the best-selling shooting line we have in the store. See the Sonic shooting line here
The flies Daniel has the absolute best luck with are his own The Harvester and the Winter Harvester.
Two flies that have really done well this spring and it has quickly become the Daniel Goto shrimp imitation. It fishes incredibly well, doesn't snag and can really find fish.
In addition to this we have been incredibly happy to use our Geoff Anderson underwear which is truly fantastic quality. We are particularly happy with the Geoff Anderson Wizwool 210 series which is the best inner layer.
Daniel, Martin and Christoffer all use their Geoff Anderson Ws7 wading jacket and it is fantastic in every way.
As a line basket, the line master is in a class of its own and both it and the basket are used extensively by Daniel and Troels.
A good pair of polar goggles is also a very important part of fishing and especially Baijo Vega with yellow lenses is in a class of its own for all Danish fishing. Then you can see followers and what food items are in the water
Daniel also swears by his Fishpond Stormshadow chestpack to keep track of flies, lures and his Mclean shore net with rubber bag to get hold of the fish for a quick release.
